Apr. 27, 2022

Parking and Transportation Services is moving to a cashless hourly parking system by the end of June 2022. To prepare for the transition, all parking meters will be gradually removed from hourly parking spaces starting on April 30. Hourly parking will be available through the PayByPhone app. This transition will not affect the amount or locations of hourly parking spaces.

Those who prefer not to use a debit or credit card may purchase daily permits in person at the Parking and Transportation Services office.

See below for details about PaybyPhone:

  • Free to download from Google Play and the iTunes App Store

  • Sends reminders before parking sessions expire and gives customers the option of extending parking time in most areas

  • Stores previous transactions and receipts

  • Stores parking and payment information for quick and safe transactions

  • Provides service in cities across North America and Europe

Meters will be replaced with instructional signs that show how to download the PayByPhone app, list the toll-free number, and display the web address. Those who prefer to not download the app may pay for hourly parking by calling a toll-free number or through a web browser.

Visit the Parking and Transportation Services webpage for more information about PaybyPhone.

We hope the transition to cashless hourly parking makes parking on UNLV’s campus more convenient and efficient.
