Dr. Iesha Jackson has been selected as the interim Associate Dean for Faculty and Inclusive Excellence (iADFIE). The position is effective July 1, 2023. 

In her new role, she will lead and assess the College of Education's faculty development and general DEIJ efforts, and develop and sustain a culture of belonging among faculty, staff, students, and relevant community stakeholders. This position is critical for fulfilling the college's DEIJ mission and will provide visionary leadership in support of efforts to foster a safe, welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment within the college.  

Dr. Jackson arrived in 2017 from Arizona State University and has committed her professional work to culturally-relevant, healing-centered pedagogies and practices within teacher education as well as university-community partnerships. Throughout her work, she has centered the importance of critical self-reflection, equity, and community embeddedness. As a faculty member within our college, she has already served on 30 dissertation committees, engaged with the Holmes Scholars program, received several collaborative group awards, and fostered countless relationships with students, faculty, and community members.
