Congratulations to Musicology at UNLV professor and harpsichordist Dr. Jonathan Rhodes Lee - whose latest album, “French Connections,” will be released both in CD and streaming format Dec. 10 on the Navona Records label.
This album of French works for harpsichord performed by Dr. Lee includes works by Louis Couperin (c. 1626-1661), François Couperin (1668-1733) and Antoine Forqueray (1672-1745). The pieces selected for this collection celebrate the small, tight-knit pantheon of 17th-century French harpsichordists who helped shape the instrument’s repertoire.
Dr. Lee is especially grateful to the UNLV College of Fine Arts for generously underwriting the last stage of production costs.
