UNLV International Gaming Institute, along with William F. Harrah College of Hospitality and the department of kinesiology & nutrition sciences, is seeking research study participants who are currently working in or furloughed from the Las Vegas hospitality industry (e.g. hotel, casino, restaurant, bars/nightclubs, etc.).

This study seeks to understand the impacts of COVID-19 on hospitality industry employees, as well as the effects of different shift schedules (e.g. day, swing, night) on health.

Participants will complete an online, confidential survey, that takes approximately 15-20 minutes to finish. Then, once Las Vegas has returned to a state of "normalcy" and stay-at-home orders have been lifted, participants will complete the survey again and be invited to attend an in-person assessment.

As a small token of appreciation, participants will be eligible to receive a $20 gift card for their participation in all research procedures. Moreover, your participation in this study has the potential to impact the health, wellbeing, and livelihood of hospitality industry employees through the publication of applied research.

Participation Requirements

Participants must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • A current or furloughed employee of the Las Vegas hospitality/gaming industry
