This is the last week of open enrollment for both the Public Employees Benefit Program (PEBP) and NSHE products.  Changes can be made through Tuesday, May 31 at midnight.  Changes will go into effect July 1.

**Our office and the PEBP office will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 30.

No Action is required if you want to: 

  • Remain in the same group medical plan
    • The current plan options and dependent coverage will continue and you will be charged the associated premium
  • Discontinue participation into the Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
    • You are not automatically re-enrolled in FSA plans fro the plan year 2023
  • Remain in the Metlaw (Hyatt Legal Plan)
    • If no action is taken, coverage will continue for the next plan year

Action is required if you want to: 

  • Participate in the Medical FSA plan
  • Participate in the Dependent Care FSA plan
  • Participate in the Health Savings Account
  • Make changes to your existing group medical elections

PEBP Open Enrollment takes place through the PEBP e-portal

  • Evaluate and make any necessary changes to your current group medical plan options and/or dependent coverage
  • Review and ensure your beneficiary(ies) information is up-to-date
    • Use the guide on how to add or change beneficiaries for life insurance and HSA  
  • Note: if you need to contact PEBP, please take into account that PEBP open enrollment is statewide.  Wait times for telephone or email may be longer than usual.

Important PEBP Changes for Plan Year 2022-2023:

  • For the CDHP High Deductible Plan and the Low Deductible Copay PPO plan, the in-network and out-of state providers are changing effective July 1.
  • HSA Bank will be the new administrator HSA/HRA funding for the CDHP plan.

NSHE Open Enrollment takes place in Workday

  • Complete the open enrollment task in your Workday inbox to make elections to the NSHE Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Metlaw Legal Plan in Workday.
  • If you want to continue or enroll in an FSA plan, you must enroll during open enrollment period in Workday
    • Plan year 2023 (July 1,  2022 - June 30, 2023) maximum contributions
      • $2,850 per plan year for the Health Care and Health Care Limited (vision and dental only)
      • $5,000 per plan year ($2,500 if married but filing a separate tax return for the plan year) for Dependent Care 
  • If you are currently enrolled in the Metlaw (Hyatt Legal Plan) and wish to decline the plan, you must act now by completing the task in Workday
  • Participants will be required to remain in the NSHE Legal Plan, Metlaw plan for the remainder of the plan year (July 1 through June 30 of each year) if you enroll or do not discontinue enrollment from a prior year.
