Dwayne R. Eshenbaugh, AIA, President and Founder of NOVUS Architecture, has received the 2021 recipient of the Nevada Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Silver Medal. Dwayne is the first UNLV Architecture alumnus to be awarded the 2021 AIA Silver Award.
The Jury Chair Katie Wilson, AIA commented, “Dwayne Eshenbaugh is everything that a Silver Medal Award winner should be. A true professional that has remained humble and kept a perspective of what is important in our profession and life. His professional design achievements are only equaled by his personal and professional generosity to those in need in his community. With strengths and achievements in so many areas of critical importance to our society – for our communities and those that live within them – Dwayne is a true role model for us all.”
Cecilia Schafler, President and Founder of Lage Design, is the 2021 recipient of the Nevada Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (NVASLA) Silver Award. Cecilia is the first UNLV Landscape Architecture alumnus to win the ASLA Silver Award. She is also the first female and minority to earn this award.
The Silver Award is the highest honor the Nevada Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects can bestow upon an individual and there have only been five prior recipients since the Chapter’s inception. It is given in recognition of the most distinguished service to the profession of landscape architecture and/or a significant body of work having lasting influence on the theory, practice, and advancement of the profession in Nevada, and Cecilia is the first woman to receive this Award.
Congratulations to you both!
