Hey Fine Arts Majors - you’re invited to our CFA
Life Design Workshop with Career Services!
Q: When and where is this?
A: Wednesday February 1st, 1pm-3:30pm in BEH 222.
Q: So what exactly is this?
A: This is a workshop for Fine Arts Majors to learn about Life Design Thinking. Life Design Lab applies design thinking to tackling the "wicked" problems of life and vocational wayfinding. Design Thinking is a methodology for creative problem solving. With life and career it is a way to look at interests, goals, and planned outcomes to meet objectives. It is a process that constantly builds upon itself - gaining knowledge through trials, prototyping, and discussions. Career Services will be doing this presentation just for Fine Arts Majors!
Q: Can I just like - come by?
A: Yup! No RSVP needed. Come Wednesday February 1st at 1pm to BEH 222. We can’t wait to see you!
Q: Do I have to stay the whole time?
A: For this workshop it is recommended that you come at the start time of 1pm. If you have to cut out a little early that’s okay! You’ll be able to pack up and leave quietly.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: Nope! Just yourself.
Q: Who’s all going to be there?
A: Other Fine Arts Majors like yourself (students majoring in Architecture, Art/Graphic Design, Dance, Film, Entertainment Engineering, Music, and Theatre), members from the Fine Arts Advising team and Fine Arts student success team, and members of the Career Services team.
Q: I still have questions…who can I contact?
A: Send an email to Kim Miller (kimberly.miller@unlv.edu) and she’ll get back to you ASAP.
