LAS VEGAS – Lee Business School is ranked 40 among a list of 228 universities in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Programs list released Tuesday, Jan. 25.

LEE offers a variety of classes online, including a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship - which is offered completely online as well as in person. U.S. News & World Report ranks online undergraduate and graduate programs on various criteria, including engagement, faculty credentials and expertise, services, and technologies that allow for flexible distance learning, expert opinion, and resulting student excellence.

“Our goal is to provide high-quality degree options in the mode that works best for our students,” said Gerry Sanders, dean of Lee Business School. “The entrepreneurship degree is an example of giving students the ability to take a class online, in-person, or hybrid based on their personal needs.”

The entrepreneurship degree program was also recently ranked in the 18th spot of University HQ’s 100 Best Affordable Entrepreneurship Programs. Students are choosing to major in entrepreneurship because they learn the fundamentals of business while also gaining an understanding of how to launch their own company.

“With the addition of online offerings we've seen participation in entrepreneurship classes grow by over 70 percent in 2020,” said Leith Martin, executive director of the Troesh Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at UNLV. “According to the Census Bureau, more than 4.4 million new businesses were created in the U.S. during 2020 — the highest total on record. For reference, that's a 24.3% increase from 2019.  Our students want to learn more about entrepreneurship and we are excited to be able to help.”

UNLV’s overall online bachelor’s ranking jumped to a tie for 147 after being ranked in the 256 to 337 grouping in 2021. To view the complete list of U.S. News & World Report rankings and programs, visit usnews.com/education/online-education/articles/us-news-ranks-best-online-programs.
