Faculty and students of the Communication Studies Department presented their research at the Western States Communication Association Conference in Denver, Colorado. Contributors included Dr. Philip Tschirhart presenting on Carbon-14 and its role in marking the Anthropocene, undergraduate student Hannah Patenaude presenting her paper on nuclear experts' opinions on nuclear energy risks and solutions, and Lecturer Stephanie Willes presenting the image of the "vaccine monster" as part of her work on digital anti-vaccine rhetoric.
