The NevadaForward team within the UNLV College of Education is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated administrative coordinator. Reporting to the managing director, this role is responsible for managing high-level communications, overseeing student enrollment processes, and providing comprehensive support to student apprentices and overall program operations.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between student apprentices and program staff
  • Provide personalized support and guidance to apprentices to foster success and professional development
  • Address questions, concerns, and logistical challenges raised by apprentices in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage semesterly student enrollment, coordinate academic progress reviews and certificates for graduate teaching programs
  • Oversee student accounts, including enrollment and grade tracking, through university systems such as MyUNLV
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of professional development events, including event preparation and on-site support
  • Extract and manage data from university systems to support administrative functions
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support program activities and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Hours and Availability:

This position requires 39 hours per week. This position is a Letter of Appointment (LOA) which provides a one-year contract, with the possibility of a one-year renewal based on performance and funding availability. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in managing administrative tasks and using university systems (e.g., MyUNLV, Workday)
  • Skilled in using project management tools and university portals to ensure effective program operations and student success
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with teaching licensure procedures and UNLV services

Experience in education, student services, and partnership coordination

Proven track record of facilitating recruitment processes and fostering positive stakeholder relationships in educational settings
