Welcome New Students!

Hello and welcome to the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs. The Advising Center is a place for students to receive academic guidance and help with planning their coursework at UNLV. All newly admitted students are required to work with an academic advisor before registering for their first semester. The academic advisors are here to help make sure that degree requirements are met to ensure a timely graduation.

To get started and make sure that you’re ready for New Student Orientation (NSO), please complete the following:

1. Activate your Rebelmail email account.
   Haven’t activated your Rebelmail yet?
   Activate it now!
2. Register for NSO through your MyUNLV account (All freshmen are required to attend NSO).
   Login to your Student Center and click on the "Register for Orientation" link to sign up. Note that the link is activated as we get closer to summer, so if it is not available when you check, come back periodically to register as soon as it is available.
   
   After completing the online registration process, you will receive an email confirmation, which will include program times, parking information, directions, and check-in information. The confirmation email verifies that you are registered for a session. If you have not received confirmation after completing the online registration process, email orientation@unlv.edu with a request to resend the confirmation notice.
3. Submit official ACT/SAT and/or AP scores to UNLV ACT/SAT scores are used for MATH/ENGLISH placement.
4. Submit transcripts for any college you may have attended.
