Administrative access to the MyUNLV system is restricted to UNLV employees. Employees are granted access after completing a full security request and supporting compliance documentation. Requests for new and updated access are submitted through the Staff Support Center.
Prior to submitting the request, work with your supervisor to identify the security access you will need. This may be identifying a user who will act as a template for your security access or listing the business processes you will be conducting in the system.
In order to complete your request, you must complete two compliance steps. Security will not be granted without record of completion of these two requirements.
- FERPA Training — Because you will be accessing student records, such as enrollment records and schedules, you are required to view the short FERPA training and quiz. When you complete the quiz, be sure to fill out and submit the acknowledgment form at the end. This will send the training team a confirmation that you have completed the training.
- NSHE Security Form — The Nevada System of Higher Education also requires all users to submit a security agreement prior to accessing a MyUNLV database. You will find the NSHE Security Form in the Staff Support Center. It will need to have the top section of the form (with the exception of the "access requested" section) completed and signed with the applicant and supervisor signatures.
