Login/Password Information

Logging In for the First Time?

Access to MyUNLV is granted in a variety of ways depending on your relationship (student, faculty/instructor, administrative user) to the university and your past experience with MyUNLV. Review the categories below to fully understand the process for gaining access to MyUNLV.

New User Access

Security Access

Assignment of security access to MyUNLV may only take place after your NSHE ID has been created in the system. The MyUNLV training and security teams do not create NSHE IDs for new students, staff or faculty/instructors.

  • Student NSHE IDs are created through an automated process once your application is submitted to UNLV. Your NSHE ID will be sent to the email address you listed on your application.
  • Faculty, Instructor, and Staff NSHE IDs are created through an automated data conversion from the HRMS system once your Human Resources paperwork has been processed and completed. For information about how you locate your NSHE ID, please refer to the appropriate section below. If you would like more information about the data conversion/NSHE ID creation process, please visit the Staff Support Center to contact our team.

If you are a current user and need additional security access, a supervisor must submit the Additional Security Access Request form. Depending on your security request, you may be required to attend.

Trouble Logging In?

You must have a valid user name and password to enter MyUNLV portal. Please contact the OIT help desk at 702-895-0777 if you are having issues logging into the portal.

  1. Check your Rebelmail — Students applying to UNLV will receive this information after their application has been received.
  2. Have your new password emailed to you.
