The UNLV Support Team (UST) connects students in distress with campus resources that support their well-being, personal safety, and academic success. In the past twelve months, UST has helped over 600 students (a 70% increase from the previous year) experiencing significant personal challenges accessing resources including counseling, health services, classroom accommodations, and advocacy, representing a nearly twofold increase in the number of students referred over the previous year. Significant challenges we have helped students navigate include suicidal ideation, physical health concerns, interpersonal violence, homelessness, food/financial insecurity, and more. Together, UST creates pathways to wellness for students in need and stands ready to assist any member of the university community who is concerned about a UNLV student.
