Engineers Producing Face Shields for the Local Medical Community

A team of UNLV engineers is using a laser cutter to produce protective face shields for the local medical community. Mechanical engineering professor Kwang Kim, postdoctoral researcher Taeseon Hwang, and Ph.D. student Justin Neubauer have created 90 shields thus far, which have been distributed to the offices of local physicians and Sunrise Hospital. The team creates 10-20 face shields each day.
