Engineering grad student Kristen Tagaytayan earned a NASA fellowship for her work on space drone technology with the potential to alter the future of renewable energy and perhaps even space travel. She’s researching ways to efficiently and inexpensively convert light and heat into energy — which may one day help NASA build landing probes that can withstand the hostile environment on Venus.
