When and where will the debate be held?

The presidential debate will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016. It will take place in UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. It is the final presidential debate taking place prior to the 2016 election.

Who can attend the debate?

The Commission on Presidential Debates manages all aspects of the debate, including number of attendees and ticket allocation. Those details have not yet been determined, but ticket availability for the event will be very limited. For tickets allocated to UNLV, a priority is to ensure that current full-time students are able to attend the debate. Tickets will not be generally be available to the public through the university.

How can I volunteer to help with the debate?

The debate will be a great educational experience for students, who will be able to participate in and volunteer to assist with campus activities surrounding the event. Some may even have the opportunity to work the event. UNLV faculty, staff, or students who are interested in volunteering can begin that process by filling out the volunteer interest survey. Volunteer opportunities will be forthcoming.

I’m a member of the media. How can I apply for a credential to cover the debate?

Media credentials will be issued by the Commission on Presidential Debates. Please check the media information page for updates.

Isn’t the Thomas & Mack Center under construction?

Construction on the Thomas & Mack Center is expected to be completed by the first half of 2016 and should not affect the event.
