LEAD Team
LEAD Team is short for the Leadership Education and Development Team and has been serving the UNLV community since 1997. The mission of the organization is to provide multiple avenues for UNLV students to engage in leadership development. Members of LEAD Team represent a wide array of backgrounds and experiences, but all share a passion for leadership and desire to positively impact the campus community.. Members are generally in their junior or senior year (although we do occasionally have sophomores) and have experience in other UNLV student clubs and organizations. This structure reflects the values of the Social Change Model of Leadership which serves as a framework for LEAD Team’s programs and training.

The UNLV LeaderShape Institute
Leadership involves living in a state of possibility, making a commitment to a vision, developing relationships to move the vision into action, and sustaining a high level of integrity. The UNLV LeaderShape Institute aims to produce a breakthrough in the leadership capacity of participants and facilitators. The UNLV LeaderShape Institute is an intensive six-day experience facilitated by faculty/staff members who serve as role models and learning coaches, teaching ethics based leadership to students. Participants of The UNLV LeaderShape Institute will have a chance to continue their production of extraordinary results through participation in Day Seven Activities which place in their Alumni Groups.

Leadership and Civic Engagement Minor (PDF)
The minor in leadership and civic engagement is available to any undergraduate student at the university who is interested in developing their skills as leaders in their field or as student leaders within the university community. These courses provide additional educational opportunities which supplement degree programs to support the growth of civically engaged leaders needed in the global economy.
