Mt. Charleston Day Hike - $25

There is real green life near Las Vegas after all! Take this opportunity to connect with this city in a way that you may not have thought possible. At a higher elevation and away from all the heat of the valley you will be able to inhale the sweet aromas of nature. The day will be spent hiking along paths carved through the trees. | Kayaking on Lake Mead - $65

Come join us on an unlikely adventure in the desert: kayaking! You thought that there was no place to enjoy such an activity in Las Vegas? Well, Lake Mead is only a short trip away. You’ll be surrounded by refreshing waters and desert splendor while navigating in a graceful kayak. Spend a day away from the busy city and relax on the lake, take in some fresh air, and have a peaceful lunch on the sandy beach. No experience? No problem! Instruction and equipment will be provided.
Price includes: Trip leaders, boat rental, park entrance, and transportation.

| Black Canyon Canoe
September 26-28
Pre trip meeting and sign up deadline: September 24 at 2:00 pm or 7:00 pm
Imagine the thrill of canoeing the beautiful Colorado River in confidence, comfort and safety. Take in the amazing canyon cliffs of Black Canyon as UNLV Outdoor Adventure trip leaders guide you just south of the Hoover Dam. During the adventure, various stops at side canyons will be made for you to explore. Learn the essentials of canoe paddling as well as wilderness camping techniques while traveling to Arizona Hot Springs and Gold Strike. The trip will require participants to canoe an average of 8 miles per day with half of those miles going up-river. Grab a paddle, let’s GO!

Mountain Biking in Red Rock Canyon - $75

Come ride with us and enjoy the beautiful views of Red Rock Canyon! Enjoy a scenic and exciting bike tour of beautiful Red Rock Canyon. This mountain bike adventure will let you ride along one of the most picturesque single-track trails in the West coast. Get away from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas and see wild plants and cactus that one can only see in gorgeous Southern Nevada. If you’re lucky, you may see wild mustangs or burros roaming in the desert! Whether you are a beginner or advanced rider, this trip will be one to remember!

Grand Canyon Campout - $120

Gold Strike Hot Springs & Scramble - $25

Enjoy the best of both worlds as you climb and scramble thru rocky terrain to arrive at an oasis of hot springs. This hike allows you to challenge yourself with some stretches of rock faces that will require you to depend on a rope to get up and down. The hike will get you in shape! The hot springs consists of various pools with different intensities of heat. Bring a camera because you do not want to forget a thing.

Rock Climbing in Red Rocks

Women’s Retreat to Valley of Fire - $25

Arizona Hot Springs Day Hike - $25
November 22

Come join us on a tranquil, six-mile round trip hike to Arizona Hot springs. Take in some great sights along the Colorado River, and unwind in the relaxing waters of the hot springs. The pools can range from 85 to 120 degrees; take your pick and forget about school for a bit. Does life get any better? We doubt it.

You’ve seen the Outdoor Adventures staff walk the rope tied between two tress. Here’s your chance to give it a try and get some pointers. This clinic will provide you with the basics to set up, get up, and walk a line in style. So next time you see OA staff doing it you won’t hesitate to show off your skills!
