Health Center Appointments/Hours

Students: For your convenience, the Student Health Center offers same-day appointments. For routine clinic visits, call on the day you’d like to come in, and we’ll schedule your visit. For specialty services such as sports medicine, laboratory, and specialty gynecology, call for an advanced appointment.

Immunizations are available to students on a walk-in basis with a member of our nursing team:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Fridays: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Faculty, Staff and Dependents (age 5 years and older): the Faculty and Staff Treatment (FAST) Center offers same-day appointments, as well as the option of scheduling appointments in advance.

Preparing for Your Lab Appointment

Remember to Bring the Following:

  • A test order (lab requisition) completed by your clinician.
  • If you were seen at the Student Health Center, the test order may be in your medical chart already. Please call the laboratory at 702-895-0280 to confirm.
  • For testing required by your academic program, internship facility, or UNLV Admissions, please call the laboratory at 702-895-0280 for more details.
  • Your insurance card (if applicable) and picture ID.

Please Come Prepared

  • Wear sleeves that roll up easily.
  • Fasting is required for Comprehensive Metabolic Panel and Lipid Panel (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, and LDL).
    • Fasting is generally 8-12 hours.
    • You may have water. Black coffee and artificial sweetener is approved but no sugar, milk, or cream. Unsweetened tea is approved.
  • Follow any other instructions your clinician has given you.
