Meet the Trainers

Personal trainers at the SRWC are students employed by Campus Recreational Services. If you are interested in the fitness industry or becoming a personal trainer, our Fitness Instructor Training Workshop is a great start!

Level 1

Level 1 personal trainers are UNLV students who complete a 16-week in-house Personal Training Certificate through the UNLV Campus Recreational Services department. These trainers complete a series of training modules and are tested on their knowledge of exercise science, fitness assessment, nutrition, exercise programming and instructional techniques.

Level 2

In addition to the Level 1 experience, Level 2 personal trainers are UNLV students who hold a national Personal Training Certification through an accredited organization (ACE, ACSM, NSCA, CSCS, AFAA).

Meet Our Trainers

Riley Iyo

Indoor Cycling, Bootcamp, Sports Conditioning, Boxing, Circuit Training. I have my B.S. in Kinesiology and currently in the Exercise Physiology Graduate Program. NSCA certified personal trainer, Schwinn Indoor Cycling Certification.

I enjoy being physically active and working out because it allows me to challenge myself physically and mentally. Positive attitude, effort, and commitment is something I am in complete control of. I believe that it has AND will allow me to achieve anything I dedicate myself to.


Gerico Santos

Pilates, Indoor Cycling, PiYo, and CXWorx. Nutrition: registered dietician, PiYo certified instructor, UNLV SRWC certified group fitness instructor, W.I.T.S. certified personal trainer, Life Guard Certified, CPR/AED and First Aid.

Kaitlyn Ulrich

Hey all! My name is Kaitlyn. I'm a Las Vegas native and a fourth year student here at UNLV. I am studying kinesiology and hope to become a pediatric physical therapist while also incorporating personal training into my career. My training philosophy is that you never know what you're capable of until you try. I'm here to help you gain the tools and knowledge you need in order to become the best you can be!

In my free time, I enjoy getting outside; hiking and swimming are two of my favorite hobbies. I have a love for sports, especially volleyball and softball. I also enjoy traveling and am always looking for new adventures!
