What makes a great story?
- Drama — A good feature story has compelling human-interest angles and can be told with emotion, irony, conflict, adversity, or humor. Share a memorable anecdote rather than simply list accomplishments.
- Impact — How is the person or program solving our most vexing problems, bettering our community, changing lives, or shaping our future? Tell us more than, "She's a dedicated teacher."
- Timeliness — Is there something that makes this story notable right now?
- Broad appeal — Will it appeal to a wide range of UNLV's stakeholders (alumni, students, donors, the community in general)?
