Make a Difference Day

Make a Difference Day 2012

Through the collective efforts of UNLV staff, faculty, students, Rebel Service Council, and Las Vegas community partners, Make A Difference Day 2012 was such a huge success! Participants engaged in this meaningful day of service by performing a variety of community outreach activities in multiple sites around UNLV and the Las Vegas area. Volunteers had the opportunity to interact with youth through reading and/or tutoring, learn about and advocate for environmental issues through clean-ups, help out the homeless population, and many more!

Here are the numbers:

• 131 UNLV student participants
• 30 UNLV staff participants
• 12 community partner locations
• 17 service project opportunities
• 433 hours of service completed
