The Science and Engineering Building is the only building on campus that has been specifically designed and programmed for collaborative research. As such, the building houses some of the most sophisticated equipment, hi-tech infrastructure, and secure labs on campus. We therefore require a higher level of security and control so we can ensure nice, flexible, operational labs that will support the research for years to come. There are several policies in place to ensure that the building is maintained without imposing undue pressure on researchers. The SEB is also a LEED certified building which has requirements revolving around energy conservation, water conservation, and sustainable operation. Polices on building security and on requirements to maintain a high standard of building energy and water conservation can be seen below.

Any questions regarding building policies can be directed to the SEB administration at 702-774-4732.
