The growth and development of College of Sciences proceeds hand-in-hand with the evolution of its Dean's Associates.
The Dean's Associates program encourages a broad base of annual unrestricted resources for the College of Sciences. These unrestricted funds are allocated throughout the college at the dean's discretion. Depending on the college's priorities, the funds can be used for anything from purchasing a new piece of equipment to funding a faculty position.
Alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations are invited to contribute $1,000 or more annually to become a member of The Dean's Associates.
Annual Membership Levels:
- Dean's Associate Bronze $1,000
- Dean's Associate Silver $2,500
- Dean's Associate Inner Circle $5,000
- Dean's Associate Inner Circle Gold $10,000
- Dean's Associate Inner Circle Platinum $25,000
Benefits of Dean’s Associate Membership
Your Dean's Associate membership grants you access to special college events, activities, and lectures and your name, or your company's name, is also recognized annually in "The Dean's Associates Roll of Honor," distributed regionally and nationally.
The Foundation
The UNLV Foundation is a Nevada nonprofit corporation organized for the purpose of encouraging voluntary private support of UNLV. Five percent of the value of designated gifts through the UNLV Foundation and/or the NSHE Board of Regents is reinvested in development activities related to raising private funds for UNLV. This money may be used for operating expenses, travel, hosting, and university receptions to produce further gifts.
The Internal Review Service considers any benefits and privileges given in recognition of charitable gifts as a reduction in the value of a gift. The UNLV Foundation has determined the estimated fair-market value of benefits and privileges conferred upon members of its Dean's Associates gift clubs to be $100. We suggest that you contact your tax advisor for further information about the deductibility of your donation.
