Grants and Funding Resources
The foundation directory (online) — The UNLV Library has a subscription to the foundation directory online, which maintains unique databases of information on the nearly 100,000 foundations, corporate donors, and grant-making public charities in the U.S. and 2.1 million of their recent grants. The foundation provides information such as the foundation’s mission, average size, and number of awards. Faculty may access the directory from any on-campus computer through the Journal Articles and Databases tab on the library web page.
Database of grants, fellowships and scholarships for individuals and institutions. Formerly known as the Illinois Researcher Information Services (IRIS). Over 9,000 funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities can be located in this resource. The database has an alert service that allows users to be notified of relevant funding. An expertise service allows individuals to create a profile by institution for others to view their activities. Please use a UNLV e-mail address to create a Grant Forward account.
Each college also has a subject liaison librarian available for targeted research. They offer subject-specific reference expertise and instruction sessions on how to use library resources. A full list is available online.
