Office of Information Technology

The Vice Provost for Information Technology leads the Office of Information Technology (OIT), which is responsible for supporting the academic, research, and administrative aims of the campus through the secure and effective use of technology. Dedicated to providing access to technology for all UNLV students, faculty, and staff, OIT strives to create university awareness of technology as a fundamental component of the academic enterprise. OIT supports computer labs, computing devices, instructional technology, campus-wide administrative systems, and network infrastructure. OIT facilitates cross-university collaboration with IT staff in units that employ technicians to meet their unique computing needs. These partnerships frequently support campus-wide technology initiatives in addition to unit-specific strategies. Committed to assisting its constituents to identify and access relevant information resources, OIT empowers students, faculty, and staff to become discerning consumers of technology.
