Forrest Cole could be one of the coolest living poets alive. His often
romantic and perfunctory verse is awash with vibrant images of avocados,
street slang and rebellious youth from Southern California. His poetry
often shifts timelines, creating a fragmented amalgamation of memory
and premonition. Yet the verse is bound by a quest to decipher the moment,
and momentarily celebrate the undecipherable.
His poetry reflects a quixotic adult trying to comprehend a rebellious
past of punk rock, rebellious love and plenty of forties. Plus, he's
got cool ink, and by "cool" we mean totally rad!
His poetry has appeared in The Colorado Review, The Red Rock Review,
and Staplegun. He is also the Mastermind behind S.T.R.I.P., a bi-yearly
alternative literary magazine, situated out of Las Vegas.
He does make a great steak in almost any situation.
