Wonda Riner has established a reputation as a problem-solver. During her more than 13 years at UNLV, she has lead the implementation of the campus-wide course management system, the creation and support of the Nevada Learning Network and Faculty
Collaboratory, reimplemented Digital Measures Activity Insight and revised business processes surrounding tenure and promotion, annual evaluations, conflict of interest reporting and more.
Riner is highly engaged in University shared governance as an administrative faculty senator, member of the administrative faculty committee and University bylaws committee.
She joined UNLV in 2003 after working several years for a research and applied technology center partially funded by the U.S. Army Medical Research Materiel and Command Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center.
Riner received her MBA from Saint Franics University and her BS from Pennsylvania State University.
As the Director of Academic Learning Technologies, she leads the strategy development, implementation, evaluation, and operation of technologies that support the School of Medicine.
