Biography

For more than 30 years William C. Anton has been an innovator and leader in the foodservice industry. In 1989, Mr. Anton redefined airport food service when he founded Anton Airfood, Inc. (AAI) along with his business partner and wife, Patricia. AAI’s business success and commitment to quality were recognized with multiple awards, including Airport Retails News’ coveted “Best Airport Restaurant Operator” – a title the company earned for 10 consecutive years. AutoGrill SpA acquired Anton Airfood, Inc. in 2005.

From his position as Chairman of hospitality for President Ronald Reagan’s inauguration to chairing the National Restaurant Association PAC, to his current position as Chairman of the Board of the Culinary Institute of America, Bill Anton’s leadership and imagination have helped shape new directions for a number of companies and enterprises. His many contributions to the hospitality industry are epitomized by such honors as the IFMA’s Silver Plate Award, “Chain Operator of the Year” and Nation’s Restaurant News’ “Golden Chain Award” for Independent Operator – the two most prestigious awards in the industry. Mr. Anton happily resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife Patricia.
