Sheila Macias joined the Office of Sponsored Programs in November 2011. Prior to joining UNLV, she served as an accounting specialist at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for five years. She has extensive experience in general ledger maintenance, preparation of financial statements, and budget reviews. Macias holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from UNLV. Her current duties include managing sponsored program accounts, reviewing award documents to ensure proper classification in the financial system, analyzing data for specialized reports, and overall fiscal management of awards.
