Sally Hamilton has 20 years’ experience in higher education, including 17 years in research administration at UNLV. Hamilton received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UNLV and completed her certification in research administration through the Society of Research Administrators in 1999. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of pre-award services in the Office of Sponsored Programs, including personnel management and internal operations. She is also responsible for the management of proposal review, submission, and all aspects of award negotiations for the campus community. She also guides electronic proposal routing process on campus and the system-to-system electronic proposal submission initiative. Hamilton also creates ad hoc reports on sponsored programs activity, which provide insight on research trends and serve as a useful tool in strategic planning.
