Biography

L.-W. Antony Chen, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the UNLV School of Public Health. Dr. Chen researches atmospheric aerosol and co-pollutants from natural and anthropogenic sources, focusing on development of monitoring and modeling methods for assessing public exposure and health risks. He is particularly interested in environmental health issues in developing countries and their global implications. Dr. Chen is an affiliate associate research professor at the Division of Atmospheric Sciences, Desert Research Institute. He has been PI/co-PI for several federal or state funded research projects, a grant reviewer for NSF, NASA, JFSP, and DOE, and an editor/referee for several peer-reviewed journals in his field.
