Biography

Kimberly Charron has a Ph.D. (1997) and a BSBA (1990) in Accounting from the University of Arizona. She is also a certified management accountant (CMA). She is currently teaching two graduate courses, ACC725 Mergers and ACC715 Advanced Managerial Accounting, and she also teaches a variety of other courses, particularly in the Managerial/Cost accounting area. She is interested in Pedagogical research. She has a variety of publications in various journals including Accounting Forum, The National Accounting Journal, Internal Auditing, Accounting Horizons, Strategic Finance, Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting and the Journal of Business Research. Dr. Charron is the Graduate Coordinator for the MS in Accounting program. She is an active member of the IMA and is involved in service across campus. She has received numerous awards and honors including the 2008 LBS Teaching Excellence Award, 2005 LBS Outstanding Faculty for Service, IMA Lybrand Gold Medal for Outstanding Research Paper, IMA Certificate of Merit for Research Contributions, and AWSCPA Research Excellence Award.
