My current research relates to the origin of volcanoes and volcanic fields and is specifically focused on where magma is generated, how it gets to the surface, and changes that occur during ascent of magma from source to surface. I also am looking at how flow of the Earth’s mantel controls the location, volume, timing, and chemistry of volcanic fields.
