Prior to joining UNLV, Donna Duncan served as a grants specialist at the University of Kansas Center for Research for more than six years. Duncan, who holds a master’s degree from the University of Florida, joined UNLV in September 2006. She works with the College of Sciences and the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies, providing information and advice on funding opportunities, assisting faculty and staff in securing external support, and helping them with proposal development and submission. She also negotiates the award or contract and prepares subcontracts. She is responsible for coordinating agency approvals and internal requests and for problem solving at the initial stages of a project. She also provides training to support staff and presentations to faculty about pre-award services.
