Anthony Gatling, Ph.D.
Dr. Anthony Gatling is an assistant professor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas specializing in authentic leadership, authentic leadership development, transformational leadership, transcendental leadership, spiritual leadership, and technology-enabled leadership development.
Gatling holds a B.S. from Duquesne University, an M.B.A. from Wayne State University, and a Doctorate of Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University.
Prior to join UNLV, Gatling worked for Darden Restaurants for over 23 years and held the position of senior director of operations. As a member of the executive team at Red Lobster, he actively participated in the formulation of strategy and tactics for all 690 Red Lobster restaurants while supervising five directors of operations that covered 40 restaurants in 5 states: Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Louisiana. Gatling also led operations in Canada (Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta) for Red Lobster in 2007 and 2008 where he supervised four directors of operations and 29 restaurants.
Gatling received multiple director of operations leadership excellence awards and he currently holds active memberships in the Center for Creative Leadership, Society of Human Resource Management, and the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education.
