Dr. Adriaan Louw earned his bachelor of science in physiotherapy during 1992; his master's degree of physiotherapy during 2006 and his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) during 2013, all from Stellenbosch University, Cape Town South Africa. He teaches pain neuroscience and clinical application of pain sciences in clinical practice.
