Scholarship Information

The Sanford I. Berman Debate Forum at UNLV is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships to members of the UNLV Debate Team.  UNLV debate scholarships are talent-based scholarships.  The offer amount is dependent on previous debate experience/success and the content of your answers to the student interest form.  Since these are 'talent' based scholarships, students with incredible amounts of talent and previous success in debate (those who had reached the elimination rounds at NFLs and/or received several TOC bids) would obviously receive a larger initial offer than those students with limited interest.  The decision on how much to award each qualified applicant is made by the UNLV debate scholarship committee.  That decision is based on your application documents (student information sheet, 2 letters of recommendation, summary of tournament experience, etc).  Our ultimate goal in awarding debate scholarships is to attract students who love to debate, strive to improve, and want to be part of a winning team.
