7th Annual Interdisciplinary Research & Scholarship Day
On April 21, faculty and students from the Schools of Allied Health Sciences, Community Health Sciences, Dental Medicine and Nursing presented their research during the Division of Health Sciences' 7th Annual Interdisciplinary Research & Scholarship Day (IRSD). A panel of judges reviewed 58 posters, the largest collection since the IRSD’s inception.
Assistant Professor Kai-Yu Ho, department of physical therapy within the School of Allied Health Sciences, earned the top award among faculty for her study, "Recreational Runners with Patellofemoral Pain Exhibit Elevated Patella Water Content."
Student Balazs Bene, health physics and diagnostic sciences within the School of Allied Health Sciences, earned the top award among students for his study, "Scale Up of Erbium and Thulium Separations by Cation Exchange Chromatography."
The purpose of the IRSD is to increase the visibility of research within the schools and to use the event as a springboard for interdisciplinary research collaborations among faculty and students.
