Undergraduate students interested in applying to the School of Nursing must meet the admissions requirements for UNLV.
Please note, completing the admission requirements to UNLV does not guarantee admission to the nursing program.
Students interested in the nursing program should complete the following:
- Review the pre-nursing information and the School of Nursing admission requirements to ensure all prerequisite requirements have been met.
- Print out and complete the BSN application form and BSN prerequisite checklist.
- Make an appointment with the Health Sciences Advising Center (702-895-5448) to have the completed application reviewed and verified. Call to schedule an appointment at least three weeks prior to the application deadline. No mailed applications will be accepted.
If all prerequisites are met, the health sciences advisors will complete an “Affirmation of Student Readiness” form and forward it to the School of Nursing.
Students completing the prerequisites will be ranked according to their total points using the calculation worksheet. Students are admitted based on rank order until class size has been met.
The School of Nursing will notify all applicants if they have or have not been accepted. Admitted students must attend a mandatory information session, during which they will sign their curriculum contracts.
