University Forum: Creating the UNLV Solar Decathlon House

Join the College of Liberal Arts in the University Forum Lecture, "Creating the UNLV Solar Decathlon House" a talk by Eric Weber, assistant professor, School of Architecture, UNLV.
In fall 2011, UNLV was invited to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon 2013, an international, university-based competition to design solar-powered housing prototypes. In addition to utilizing innovative engineering systems, it was determined that as the only university located in the Mojave Desert, it would be imperative that team Las Vegas design a home that celebrates the uniqueness of our location, climate and culture, creating opportunities for energy-saving experiences.
