Lecture: Darlene Unrue on Writing a Biography

Unrue talks about the pitfalls, roadblocks, serendipity, and what she learned writing a biography. When: Feb. 29, 2012, 4pm - 5pm

Darlene Unrue, professor of English, will speak about "Pitfalls, roadblocks, and serendipity: What I learned writing a biography,".  Unrue began the research and writing of a biography of the American author Katherine Anne Porter with specific assumptions, but by the time she had finished, she abandoned those, embarking on a "great adventure" she never could have imagined.
