Workshop: Roles of Presidents, Provosts, and University Administrators March 4
Posted: February 19, 2014
As UNLV moves forward with its search for its next president, the Provost's Leadership Development Academy will be presenting a workshop on the roles of presidents, provosts, and other university administrators March 4 from 2 - 5 p.m. in the Student Union, Room 219. Our panelists will be President Karen Gross of Southern Vermont College, President John M. Rudley of Texas Southern University, and Vice Chancellor David Williams II of Vanderbilt University.
These three leaders in higher education will discuss how they progressed to their current jobs, what challenges they face, what might lie in store for higher education, and how they work within a shared governance system to move their institutions forward. You'll have an opportunity to ask them questions, and you'll also have an opportunity to work on case studies that provide a flavor for administration beyond a person's home academic unit.
Refreshments will be served.
