Posted: May 9, 2014
The UNLV Great Works Academic Certificate (GWAC) Program has recently received two grants totaling $38,000 from the Apgar Foundation to support the teaching of multiple sections of Survey of Political Theory (Political Science 200) in spring and fall 2014 and spring 2015. The grants make possible the offering of more and smaller sections of the course. and thus closer instruction for students. The Apgar Foundation supports undergraduate programs that foster knowledge of aspects of Western culture that have been instrumental in creating and sustaining liberal democracies. These grants bring the total to eight that GWAC has been awarded in its ten years of existence. For more information, visit the GWAC website or contact Professor David Fott (702-895-4187) in the Department of Political Science.
