UNLV Film & the Short Film Archive sponsor 10th annual 48-Hour Short Film Contest
Posted: October 15, 2013
The UNLV Department of Film and the Short Film Archive sponsor the 10th annual 48-Hour Short Film Contest from Friday, November 8 through Sunday, November 10.
The filmmaker entrants arrive at 6pm on Friday and are given four elements that must be used in the film: a genre, a prop, a character and a line-of-dialogue (everyone gets different elements by blind draw). Entrants then have 48-hours to write, cast, shoot, edit & score their shorts using these four randomly selected elements. They then return to the UNLV campus 48 hours later and all the completed films are screened, judged and winners announced. The event takes place in CBC A-106 on the campus of UNLV. Sunday screening is 6pm-10pm and is free and open to the public.
