UNLV ASCE Student Chapter Takes 3rd Place Overall at Conference

The Steel Bridge received 2nd Place and is going to the National Competition!
At the ASCE Pacific Southwest Regional Conference this year held in Cal Poly, Pomona, on March 22-24, the UNLV ASCE Student Chapter took home 2nd place in the Steel Bridge competition, paving its way for the first time ever to this year's national steel bridge competition held in Clemson University, SC coming up in May 25. The victories did not stop there, for they earned 1st place in Quiz Pong, 1st place in Concrete Bowling, and 2nd Place is Penny Wars, which combined with their performance in all conference events landed them the 3rd Place overall title! The spectacular performance and unwavering school spirit the student displayed over the 3 day conference has positioned UNLV on the map as one of the uprising serious contenders in one of the most competitive ASCE regions which includes 19 schools from Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii.
