Transit Center Traffic Impacts Starting Monday, April 8, 2013

Beginning next week on Monday, April 8, 2013 there will be some minimal disruptions on University Road related to the Transit Center construction. On Monday, April 15, 2013 University road will be reduced to one lane coming into the campus and as a result be one-way to the west. This will allow traffic to enter from Maryland Parkway, however, traffic will not be able to exit the same way. During the first two weeks, incoming traffic can turn right to go around Greenspun Hall to Lot D south of the Student Union, proceed to Brussels and exit out onto Joe Delaney back to Maryland, or go on down Brussels to Tropicana Avenue. The parking lots around the Architecture Building (Lot H north, Lot Z and the Resident Lot west and Lot F south) will still be accessible. On approximately April 29, 2013, the closure will change to the other lane of University Road on the north side. This closure will eliminate the ability to turn at Greenspun toward the Student Union area and Lot D for approximately two weeks. The entire impact will last approximately five weeks. Questions can be directed to Parking and Transportation Services at 895-1300.
