Non-Degree Seeking Student Checklist

Once your Non-Degree Seeking Information Form has been processed, please follow the checklist below to complete the enrollment process at UNLV.

Enrolling in Classes
* Visit Registration & Financial Services to view the Class Schedule, Registration Guide, and other helpful sites outlining UNLV's academic policies and procedures.
* Check the Registration Guide for dates and times to enroll in courses. Generally, non-degree seeking students register after degree-seeking students.
* If you are planning to apply for admission to UNLV at a later date, review the course catalog to determine whether you are eligible to enroll in a specific class. Some classes may have prerequisites, co-requisites, or class standing requirements.
* Enroll for courses online. Undergraduate non-degree seeking students may register for up to eight credits per semester. Only 24 credits earned as a non-degree seeking student can be applied toward a UNLV undergraduate degree program.
* Pay for courses. Fee payment for courses is generally due the Friday before classes start. Payment plans are available through UNLV's Cashiering Office. For more information, please call 702-895-3683.
* Obtain a parking permit.
* Books may be purchased at the UNLV Bookstore located on Maryland Parkway next to the Student Union (MSU). Please bring your semester class schedule to assist in locating your required textbooks.
