acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. LEED is the title
for a series of rating systems developed by the
U.S. Green Building
Council to evaluate environmental performance from a
whole-building perspective over a structure's entire life cycle.
Life-cycle cost
The
cost of purchasing, operating, maintaining, and disposing of a system,
product, facility, or equipment over its expected useful life.
